November Spotlight: News and Product Reviews

SlamLoc Stable Door Closure System
Product Review by Karyn "K.C." Cowdrey

From the start, SlamLoc stable door closure system was a dream to use. Installation took less than 15 minutes, although I do recommend having a cordless drill with screw bits handy. We already had a slider stall door with a bottom roller/stop system in place, which also helped.

I really like being able to open and close my stall doors, even with both hands full, keeping my curious, escape-prone horses from wandering about the barn. I found my elbow could be used to depress the latch mechanism to open it, and my foot and my shoulder both worked to slide my door securely shut, making my doors 'Houdini-proof' even with my clever Arabians!

Along with ease of use, I really like the safety factor--no edges to catch on human or horse. Combine this with pricing under $25.00 and the fact that I can support my local economy because the product is manufactured 100% in the USA and based out of Oregon, I highly recommend SlamLoc to anyone looking for a safer, easier and better way to secure their sliding stall doors.

Triple Crown Senior Feeds Really Work!
Product Review by Lisa Emory

I purchased a horse in Feb. 2008 that was basically in need of rescue. I brought him home, wormed him and started him right away on Triple Crown feed. I began his program with Senior Feed because I was unsure of the condition of his teeth and wanted to have the extra calories the Triple Crown Senior would give him.

Of course we worked on his feet, his teeth and some training issues, and as his weight came up he began to bloom. I was able to switch him from the Triple Crown Senior to the Triple Crown 30% supplement for all his vitamin and mineral needs. In addition, he has free choice salt blocks, access to pasture and good quality hay.

I am so pleased with the Triple Crown feed products and the results I have been able to achieve for this horse. Check out the before and after photos!
