Reclaim Your Feed Room with the SmartPak Storage Bag
An alternative to the traditional plastic storage drawer, SmartPak Storage Bags hang easily on your horse's stall door, making feeding supplements easier than ever and allowing you to reclaim your feed room. Just open the easily accessible top, pull out a SmartPak, and then feed.

"We’re always asking customers for feedback, so when some started telling us they’d prefer to store their SmartPaks next to the horses’ stalls, we knew we had to create something for them," said Becky Minard, founder and senior vice president.

And so the SmartPak Storage Bag was born. SmartPak teamed up with custom bag manufacturer Tally Ho to create the Storage Bag. Made of tough 400 Denier nylon, the Storage Bag comes in two sizes: standard and large. Customers can choose the body, trim, and piping color from 19 available options, allowing them to coordinate with their barn’s colors. The Storage Bags can also be embroidered for an even more personalized touch.

To order a SmartPak Storage Bag, or learn more about it, visit www.SmartPak.com or call 1-800-461-8898.

Healing Tree's Huuf Magic
Product review by Diane Kimker

Living in the Northwest with horses is almost a guarantee that at some point you'll have to deal with skin or hoof problems brought on by wet, muddy conditions. Thrush is a common hoof problem caused by bacteria in the soil that affects the frog. It can be identified by the foul odor and the presence of a slimy black substance found on and around the frog as you pick out your horse's hooves. A severe case of thrush can eat away at the frog to the point where it's painful for the horse to walk.

Most thrush treating products currently on the market contain ingredients that are smelly, difficult to apply, and stain whatever they come in contact with. When I recently tried Healing Tree's Huuf Magic, I was pleasantly surprised by the overall results. While the recommendation was to use this product twice a day, I only managed once a day and still saw substantial improvement within 3-4 days. Huuf Magic's active ingredients include Australian Tea Tree Oil, which gives it a very pleasant smell, and the thick, non-staining formula was easy to work with. That's a Nice Rack!
How many times have you packed your tack out to your horse and not found a clean, dry place to set down your saddle, pad and bridle? This was our experience and it gave my husband Vern an idea. He is a man with great tenacity. Once the wheels are set in motion, he will work until the task is done and he'll do a good job. And now he has invented a saddle rack for the horse industry: the Nice Rack saddle rack.

Any saddle type fits. This lightweight saddle rack makes it easy to carry your tack out to your horse and back to the tack room after your ride, and the aerated design allows saddle pads to dry. There are comfortable handles on either end that are also designed to hold a bridle and halter, and removable baskets are provided for grooming accessories. Four colors are available to coordinate with your riding gear. Nice Racks are unique, stable, stackable, portable, and made from UV protected polypropylene.

Look for a Nice Rack in your local tack store or order online at www.saddleracks.ca. We will ship your Nice Rack anywhere in North America—we've even sent some to Greenland!

American Sidesaddle Association Launch Announcement
The elegant art of riding aside has experienced a resurgence in the past few years. Many equestrians enjoy conquering a new style of riding and proving they can do anything and everything in their sidesaddles. Others love the feeling of having everyone's eyes on them as they ride into an arena in an exquisite habit or down the trail in a comfortable sidesaddle. Some women use their sidesaddle as a tool to teach people about history, and some women and a few men ride sidesaddle due to injuries or disabilities that make riding astride impossible.

The American Sidesaddle Association (ASA) was recently formed to serve as a coalition of existing regional groups. The mission of the ASA is to preserve the art of riding aside, foster community and exchange of information amongst sidesaddle riders, promote and support the efforts of regional sidesaddle groups, and serve as a resource to sidesaddle enthusiasts throughout the United States.

Whatever your favorite discipline and breed, and whether you show, trail ride, or perform riding demonstrations, ASA has a place for you! Visit us on the web at www.americansidesaddleassociation.org.
