There has been a lot of talk about "wellness" in recent years. Through preventative medicine, diet, supplementation, and exercise, people are looking at good health as a condition to be nourished and maintained, not just restored when something goes wrong. This is as true in horse care as it is in human health, but when it comes to equine nutrition, Del Johnson has been a champion of the "wellness" approach for three decades.
That Was Then: A Wild Ride
Think back to 1978. Maybe you were cheering as Affirmed won the Triple Crown. Maybe you were listening to "Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys." Del Johnson was riding bucking broncos on the rodeo circuit and envisioning a better future for equine health.
